Lindsay Woolf and Josh Woolf

My family and I later moved to Long Beach, then to Joshua Tree, and eventually to Montecito. My father and uncle commuted back and forth, building homes. Many of the homes they built in the Venice Canals still stand today. My grandfather, a designer in Beverly Hills, lived in a home built by my father and worked under Woolf and Woolf Designs, a name that continues today as an homage through woolfandwoolf.com. We later relocated to Mariposa, just thirty minutes from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. It was there that I fell in love with the beauty of the oak trees, granite, and surrounding mountains. Eventually, we moved back to Santa Cruz, where I attended high school.

During college, I lived in San Diego for my undergrad classes, a place where my grandmother once broke records in real estate sales. I moved north to study film production and lived in Carpinteria and then Ventura, before moving to Hollywood and later to Venice. There, my cousins and I opened a design and production studio on Sunset and Fourth, where we worked with clients ranging from celebrities to corporations, tech startups, and architectural firms.

We partnered with a high-end location agency that represented many of the most sought-after properties used for fashion and commercial shoots across Los Angeles. Through this collaboration, I had the opportunity to photograph and tour hundreds of exceptional homes throughout the city. Among them was my work with James F. Goldstein on the branding, marketing, and photography of his iconic Hollywood Hills residence, The Goldstein House. I had the privilege of experiencing works by Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, and John Lautner, as well as many of the Case Study Houses. This experience deepened my appreciation for architecture as an art form and reinforced my belief that every home has a story worth telling.

With over 18 years of experience in commercial production, marketing, business development, and brand consulting, I bring a distinct creative vision to real estate. My knowledge of the area, combined with my understanding of what goes into building and maintaining a home from the ground up, gives our clients a true competitive edge. I understand that a home is more than a property. It is an extension of lifestyle, aspiration, and long-term investment.

As a devoted husband and father, I value balance, community, and living with purpose. My passion for architecture, design, and strategic thinking defines my approach. For me, real estate is not just about transactions; it is about transformation.

ABOUT LINDSAY WOOLF

My journey into real estate has been shaped by a blend of creativity, family values, and a deep love for community. That foundation was laid nearly a century ago through my family’s long-standing connection to real estate. In the late 1920s, during a time of shifting economic tides, both sets of my great-grandparents acquired 160-acre parcels of rural land. One side purchased their land for $800 dollars, a significant investment made just before the stock market crash of 1929. The other acquired a similar tract for just $80 dollars a few years later, during the depths of the Great Depression. At that time, land values had plummeted and many owners were walking away from their property, unable to pay taxes or justify holding on. But both families held firm, recognizing the long-term value of what they had secured.

Not long after that purchase, an oil company came through the region and offered to buy mineral rights for one dollar per acre. One of my great-grandfathers agreed to sell half of his mineral rights, recovering his $80 dollar investment while retaining full ownership of the land and the remaining rights. That decision became a defining part of our family’s legacy. It is a story I carry with pride. A reminder that real estate is more than a commodity. It represents vision, resilience, and the foundation for generational opportunity.

Growing up in Texas, I was immersed in the entrepreneurial spirit of my family. My grandparents began their journey with a brick-and-mortar office supply store in 1957, where my grandfather sold and repaired manual typewriters for school districts. I fondly remember the store filled with the rhythmic clatter of typewriters and the scent of freshly sharpened pencils. My parents eventually took over the business, with my father leading the way in offering PC and Apple computers and pioneering dial-up internet in our area. His early lectures on “Getting on the World-Wide Web” in 1996 are still vivid in my memory. These experiences instilled in me a profound appreciation for hard work, adaptability, and the relentless pursuit of innovation.

In 2014, I channeled my creativity and entrepreneurial spirit into launching Woolf With Me®, a beloved kids’ brand that continues to inspire joy and imagination in homes around the world. Building on this success, I introduced Moose With Me® in 2021, a dog brand dedicated to celebrating our furry companions. These ventures embody my passion for innovation and my dedication to bringing fresh, imaginative ideas to life.

I’ve had the privilege of not only exploring but also living in some of Southern California's most iconic neighborhoods: from Santa Barbara, with its Spanish architecture, historic State Street, and stunning coastal views; through Montecito, nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, offering privacy and tranquility; across the Hollywood Hills, with its breathtaking panoramic views of Los Angeles and its allure of urban culture and entertainment; down to Malibu, celebrated for its natural beauty, laid-back lifestyle, and surfer's paradise; over to Venice, known for its eclectic vibe and artistic spirit; up to Santa Monica, featuring a dynamic blend of modern sophistication and historical elegance; and finally, the place we call home, Manhattan Beach, "The Pearl of the South Bay" for its pristine beauty.

For a decade, our family has lived in Manhattan Beach, fully embracing the coastal lifestyle with our beloved dog, Moose. On a sunny day, you can see the iconic Hollywood Sign from Pacific Coast Highway. It is an active community centered around surfing, tennis, and beach volleyball, a haven for professional athletes. We enjoy art museums, camping, going to the beach, family gatherings centered around savoring the joy of cooking, taking the subway in New York, learning new languages, snorkeling in Hawaii, sewing and textiles, playing the drums, photography and film, and appreciating everything Mother Earth has to offer. These experiences have given us a profound appreciation for the unique charm and lifestyle each area offers. It is this love for home, family, and reflection that ignites our work.

Every person has a story, and we’d love to help you create the next chapter in your life. Let’s work together to find not just a house but a place where you and your loved ones can truly feel at home.

ABOUT JOSH WOOLF
Son of a builder, my story begins in Santa Cruz, nestled in the redwoods along a stretch of 29 miles of coastline. My early years were filled with the scent of lumber and the rhythm of hammers, growing up amid blueprints, job sites, and the discipline of bringing projects to completion.

I learned the value of perseverance and integrity from an early age. Watching my father lead construction teams, I saw how respect, communication, and skill create strong bonds and deliver exceptional results. My mother, an artist and spiritual teacher, taught me the power of creativity, meditation, and seeing beyond the surface, where vision and imagination bring possibility to life. These lessons continue to influence the way I connect with people and approach real estate.

Hello, and welcome!

We love working with new clients!
